Actionable Knowledge For Sustainable Development
More than ever, sustainable development is a global concern & it is everyone’s duty to participate in the evolution of our society in this direction. In this context, Latin America is not an exception. The 2nd Latin America Geospatial Forum shows the importance of Geotechnology in this context and brings the opportunity to present a large gamut of tools to make this possible.
We all will agree that data is an underutilized and powerful resource. With a little strategic planning and forethought we can turn that data into real actionable knowledge - Knowledge that helps you communicate value, allows you to be seen as a more strategic partner and helps your organization make smarter decisions. Our knowledge must be actionable. It must transcend purely scientific concerns and enable organizational members to make informed choices about important practical problems and to implement solutions to them effectively. To develop effective and efficient strategies across a global spectrum of risk, you require Actionable Knowledge. The issues of sustainability are, however, of such critical social, economic and ecological importance that the development of actionable knowledge must be on the agenda and actirs in workplace and organizations should participate in the process.
With the theme Actionable Knowledge for Sustainable Development the conference will focus on an integrated approach to sustainability that can create tangible benefits economically socially and environmentally. The forum will highlight the usage of geospatial technology in processes, organization and design, system regulation, and continuous learning approaches in complex organizational and multiorganizational systems that enabled simultaneous focus on and advancing of economic, social, and ecological outcomes. |
