Group on Earth Observations (GEO)
The Group on Earth Observations (GEO) was formed in order to maximise the value of Earth Observation data for decision making. GEO is striving to build a Global Earth Observation System of Systems, or GEOSS, which will yield critical information across nine Societal Benefit Areas, including Agriculture, Biodiversity, Climate, Disasters, Ecosystems, Energy, Health, Water and Weather. GEOSS in the Americas, currently chaired by Colombia, is focused on enhancing regional coordination, develop mechanisms and build capacity for comprehensive and sustained Earth observations.
The Ministry of Agricultural, Regional and Urban Development (SEDATU) is the entity of the Government of Mexico in charge of agricultural development issues, urban development and housing. The Pan American Institute of Geography and History was created on February 7, 1928, during the VI International Conference held in Havana, Cuba, at the level of Ministers of American States. Since its formation over 80 years ago, the Pan American Institute of Geography and History has strongly supported and contributed to the advancement of science that fall within its scope. The Mission of The Pan American Institute of Geography and History is to be a scientific and technical Organization of American States international organization dedicated to the generation and transfer of expertise in the areas of cartography, geography, history and geophysics; in order to maintain current and in constant communication to researchers and scientific institutions of the member states, all in constant process of modernization.

The National Institute of Statistics and Geography (INEGI) is an autonomous agency of the Mexican government, dedicated to the coordination of the National Statistical and Geographic Information of the country. It is the institution responsible for conducting population censuses every ten years and the economic census every five years and the agricultural census in the country since 1995 are performed every five years counts population, intercensal event created to update the previous census data population.
